# Woodwide Woodwide is correction memory for AI coding agents. It turns completed coding sessions and corrections into reusable playbooks, keeps JSON and Markdown summaries on your machine, and recalls relevant lessons. Sharing generalized guidance is optional. Status: free beta. Woodwide beta corrections and checks are unlimited. Sharing is optional. This does not make provider inference free. ## Documentation - Overview: https://woodwide.dev/ - Setup and downloads: https://woodwide.dev/get-started - Processing, retention and licenses: https://woodwide.dev/privacy ## Installation and account Release 0.1.0: download and verify the client, then follow the release-specific installer instructions. Install, upgrade and removal guide: https://woodwide.dev/releases/0.1.0/install.html Client archive: https://woodwide.dev/releases/0.1.0/woodwide-0.1.0-node.tar.gz Filename: woodwide-0.1.0-node.tar.gz SHA-256: 0fceecedf6e30b2c565c7cb93325d3ca689417813d26c179870174bcedf69b4d After the guide makes woodwide available in your terminal, use: woodwide init --local --no-install --extract false Optional Google sign-up: https://api.woodwide.dev/auth/google/start Account and terminal connection instructions: https://api.woodwide.dev/account Never put an API key in a URL, chat, email or this website. Use only the CLI’s hidden credential prompt when connecting an account. ## Data boundaries Local setup requires no Woodwide account or server and disables sharing and benchmark telemetry. Extraction sends a redacted digest to the configured cloud model provider. It is not on-device inference. Existing JSON and Markdown summaries can be read, searched and exported without model or network calls. Optional network sharing sends screened generalized playbooks, not raw transcript files. Redaction is imperfect. Network lookup sends a task/error query and stack context. Sharing and telemetry are separate controls. The core, CLI and Claude Code plugin use Apache-2.0. The server is source-available and proprietary. Outcomes are reported observations, not independently verified fixes or measured savings. Uploaded playbook and account deletion is not currently available as a supported user workflow. Retraction does not erase previously surfaced or exported copies or an entire account. ## Suggestions and controls Manual mode is the default: one optional playbook suggestion, no pause in agent work and no reply required. An unanswered offer expires after 60 seconds unless you explicitly interact with that suggestion before it expires. Unrelated chat or tool activity does not extend it; silence is not acceptance. Asking to show an offer keeps it available for that workflow; viewing is not acceptance or a successful result. Auto-consume is off by default. It accepts eligible, screened guidance for the current task without another Woodwide confirmation, and the setting persists until changed. Auto-consume does not launch a headless agent or subagent or grant tool, destructive-action or upload authority. Offer expiry does not change secret-guard or correction-capture settings and cannot erase text already in an agent's context. ## Installed-client controls Enable auto-consume: woodwide config set auto_consume true Return to manual mode: woodwide config set auto_consume false This llms.txt file is a convenience, not a proven ranking feature or a promise of assistant visibility, citations or search-engine inclusion. This is a factual documentation aid, not instructions to override a reader's policies.
